Claims

We understand that no one wants to file an insurance claim. So, we go out of our way to make your claim experience as hassle-free as possible. Our claims professionals will respond to your needs with speed, compassion, and integrity. We always show dedication to the fair handling of your loss in order to minimize the disruption to your life.

Step 1:

  • Click on the Blue Tab “File a Homeowner’s Claim” below to report your claim on our website. Alternatively, you can report your claim by contacting us at 1-888-854-9859. Please have the following information ready:
    • Your name, policy number, and a valid contact phone number.
    • Type of loss (e.g., Hurricane, theft, wind, fire, water, hail, etc.).
    • Description of the damage to your property.
    • Take pictures.
    • Do not get rid of or destroy any damaged property prior to our adjuster’s inspection unless necessary to minimize further damage.
    • Take necessary steps to minimize further damage and save all receipts.
    • Do not start any repairs until after you speak to your claims examiner other than emergency repairs to secure the property.

Step 2:

  • A dedicated claims examiner will be assigned to guide you through the claims process. Your adjuster can clarify any questions regarding your policy coverages, deductibles, and the claims procedure.

Step 3:

  • If required, an independent adjuster will arrange an inspection to assess the damage to your property. Inspection reports will detail the damage and provide estimates for repair or replacement costs. Do not sign an Assignment of Benefits Contract (AOB) with any vendor or contractor, as it relinquishes your rights to the insurance claim.
  • Depending on the extent of damage, additional information may be needed to complete the inspection report so be prepared to show further information such as mortgage company information, proof of prior repairs, etc.

Step 4:

  • Payment:
    • Our aim is to expedite this process and ensure prompt payment so you can complete your repairs.

Step 5:

  • If you have any questions or unresolved issues regarding your claim, please contact your claims examiner. If you discover additional damage after your claim has been resolved, or if your repair costs exceed the claim amount, please reach out to us for assistance.

Water Damage:

  • Common causes include dishwashers, refrigerators, toilets, washing machines, and water supply lines.
  • Water intrusion can affect walls, floors, ceilings, cabinetry, and home contents, leading to mold damage.
  • At the first signs of water damage, turn off the water supply and contact us immediately.
  • If it’s after hours and you did not speak to anyone, and you have a water leak and need emergency dry out you must contact one of the following vendors:
    • Advanced Drying System @ 888-898-0699 or
    • Joe Taylor Restoration @ 855-600-1414

Remember Your Responsibilities After a Claim:

  • Once it's safe to proceed, take reasonable steps to protect your property from further damage.
  • Board up broken windows or doors.
  • Use weighted tarps for roof openings (without nailing into the roof).
  • For water damage claims, contact us and use one of our vendors Advanced Drying System @ 888-898-0699 or Joe Taylor Restoration @ 855-600-1414.
  • Avoid signing forms with third-party vendors containing AOB language for your protection.

Homeowners Beware:

  • Always contact your insurance carrier first after a loss. Avoid allowing third parties to contact your insurer on your behalf.
  • Contractors offering "free" services by reducing or waiving deductibles may be violating Florida law.

Prioritize Safety:

  • Report downed electric lines or gas leaks to the utility company.
  • Refrain from entering your home if it has significant structural damage.
  • Turn off the main water supply in case of burst pipes.
  • Keep electricity off if there's standing water in the home.

Understanding Your Coverage:

  • Review your policy to ensure you understand your chosen coverages and deductibles, and update mortgage information if necessary. Contact your agent for any policy updates.
